Let's build a new municipal website for Halderberge together!

In this blog, we take you through the steps we went through together with the municipality of Halderberge. From the kick-off and creative sessions to the festive launch.

Kick-off with full energy

Friday, July 19 was the big day: the kick-off with our consultants Ruben de Vries and Nick van de Venn at the town hall in Oudenbosch. The atmosphere was immediately positive, with ideas and energy flying across the table. Together with Stephanie Ansems and Renate Lutt, we delved into the wishes and requirements for the new website. It immediately became clear that everyone wanted to do everything they could to make this project a success. The planning was ready: time to get started!"When is Guus coming to hand out bitterballen?" Renate asked soon after seeing Guus' TikTok.

Laying a solid foundation

The subsequent project days revolved around building the new structure for the website. Think of it as the foundation of a house; first you decide where everything will go, so that each page fits perfectly. Together with Stephanie and Renate, we worked out the structure in detail—a big job, but a crucial step in making everything clear and organized. This resulted in a wall covered with colorful sticky notes!

Then it was time to gather initial feedback. We reached a broad group of testers via social media, the local newspaper, and the intranet, which provided us with invaluable insights. Feedback from the local community helped us enormously in refining the structure. It was fantastic to see how committed everyone was!

Training and creativity: getting started with the new look and feel

Once the structure was in place, we trained the team in the use of the CMS and the Felix Products and Services Catalog, so that they could immediately start working with all the new possibilities. This was followed by a creative session for the design. Halderberge's corporate identity and objectives were central to this: the website had to be clear and informative.

Final testing and then... Live!

With everything ready and enough chocolate to thank all the testers, the testing phase could begin. We asked residents at the town hall for their opinions, the ladies at the reception desk (who speak to residents every day) gave extensive feedback, and we visited businesses in Oudenbosch to test the application.

During testing, it became apparent that many people wanted to search via Google. But because the website was not yet live, this was of course not possible. The search bar on the website itself was a convenient alternative.

"I've never heard of a parking permit, so I wouldn't know where to find it on the website. I'm glad I could just search and found the right place."

Feedback was processed, minor adjustments were made, and the team was ready to go live. On October 31, the moment had arrived: time to celebrate the launch of the new website www.halderberge.nl. In response to Renate's question about when Guus would arrive with bitterballen, Halderberge had the scoop during the live launch. An action that also brought a smile to everyone's faces.

This website enables the municipality of Halderberge to serve its residents even better and more accessibly. The result? A user-friendly, modern website that everyone can find and use!
